I saw this meme online today and literally laughed out loud! I can totally relate to T J's feelings- such the procrastinator!
This morning was very foggy in Yarmouth. I was unsure what this would mean for the ferry ride back to Maine.

There was a four month old baby girl near us during the game and I began singing Little Bunny Foo Foo to her and she was so engaged! Her mom told us that her name is Natalie- they started calling her Nat Foo Foo bc she loves the song so much and now they just call her Foo. As to be expected, I sang to her over and over and over again- obviously the language of Foo Foo is universal for Littles!
Anyway, we got into Portland, Maine around 1 pm but customs took forever. I truly believe the US Customs Agents spend time talking to everyone in the car to get a feel for those people, profile them somewhat. Somehow we always end up at the end of the the line, but after an hour we got through and were allowed back into the US. Whew, thank Goodness!
Our plan was to drive into Bar Harbor and tent for the night. I secured a spot for us at a KOA and we were on our way. We were all very optimistic and anxious about our upcoming adventure. As a child, my folks had us tent out on a road trip in Arizona maybe? It was not a pleasant experience for my folks and we never did it again. I'm rather excited about the prospect of doing it again.
We were about 20 miles away from the KOA and we see large, dark clouds forming in the near distance. Of course this can't be where we are heading, because we are tenting for the first time as a team. It wouldn't rain on us. Yeah, well, that is not how it went. It rained and was raining when we pulled up at the campground to check in.
Dean went into the office to get us in and we followed a rather shady character on a golf cart to our spot. Felt like we drove to the very edge of existence and basically we did. The guy that booked the spot told me over the phone that we would have a great back country experience in this spot. It was all wooded and serene. Except for that smoldering barrel of wood at the spot next to us. They must have a lit a fire pre-rain and were now attempting to revive it. It wasn't working. It smelled very smoky. And wet. Ugh.
It was after 5 so Dean and Steven began the work of pitching the tent. The mosquitos were large enough to carry one of us away so we kept an eye on Becky as she would be the easiest target for the mosquitos!
The guys got the tent setup, put our inflatable mattresses in and zipped it up. Dean was drenched in sweat so he changed into other clothes and we decided to run out for dinner and get back before dark so we could zip ourselves up in the tent.
We were a little bummed by the heat, humidity, smoke, and mosquitos but we were still excited about it. We headed out to dinner.
Dinner was fabulous! We had beer with our lobster and thoroughly enjoyed it. Becky had lobster as well and Steven had a lobster roll. Our bellies were full and it was time to head back to our over night accommodations.

As soon as we got back to the tent we all got changed into our sleeping clothes and zipped ourselves in. Dean surprised each of us with our very own head lights. We had so much fun playing with them. The guys and I drank a beer before bed (we will pay for that soon enough) and then we all called it a night.

Tenting is definitely something that you get better at as you go. Not sure if we are going to get better at it or not. It is very quiet when you are just out in a tent. Thank goodness I had prepared a softer playlist for just that reason and had one of our smaller bluetooth speakers to lull us to sleep; it worked for most of us rather well.
One of the things I loved the most about the experience is that once we turned out all of our lights there were fireflies around us! We have a rain cover that sits about 5-6 inches above the tent. Several fireflies flew in between the mesh top of the tent and the rain cover and gave us blinks of light as we were falling asleep!
Before falling asleep I engaged everyone in a game of this or that. Found a list of items that you have to choose between. Things like Hamburgers or Hot Dogs, ebooks or paper, walk or jog, etc- there were some interesting answers but we did laugh quite a bit. I think we all fell asleep around 10 with our tunes playing softly in the background. That sleep wouldn't last long...
It's Poll Time!!!!
Results from the previous day:

I grew up on homemade fries so you know that is where my vote is! Teet would cut those potatoes into thin strips and fry them up for us. The taters were fresh out of our garden which made them even tastier! Thanks folks for those experiences!
Now on to our poll today.
Based on our choice of lodging tonight, let's hear what you guys think about it. We are dropping you into the perfect cool, non-humid, non-mosquito setting and you have a few options for overnight accommodations:
